We announce a new item in Toernooibase. Books/magazines! You can find the link under the tile Positions on the homepage of Toernooibase. Users with an account can make an insert in Toernooibase of a digital book/(club)magazine,articles etc. (with chapters) in pdf or jpg or html with an external link (It is also possible to link it with an attachment of the Dumpstore).
So we can create a database of digital information about draughts. Of course one must obey the official copyright rules of the books/magazines/articles.
The item Books/magazines has also a major advanced function: creating applets of the book/magazine/article, so you can play animated applets on the screen of the subject.
Today is also the day that a year ago draughtspromotor Tjalling Goedemoed passed away.
As a tribute to his work Course in Draughts (and many other activities in the draughts world) we have made the Pre-Course of Draughts completely interactive. You can play applets from each chapter, you can try to solve the exercises on applet and you can replay the solutions.
We are curious how Tjalling (we miss you every day my friend) would respond to this new possibility. Probably something like: “It is wol goed jongens…”(no translation).
We hope you like this new item in Toernooibase. It is a beta-function, so it will be developed further. Also a manual will be included in the future. But the main frame is working, everybody can contribute to this item of Toernooibase and create for example “Skills tests” in Toernooibase.
