Oproep van de FMJD
Dear draughts friends, our colleagues from Ukraine, so familiar to us, are not thinking about draughts right now. They are thinking about how to survive another day and not to be killed by the bombs that fall on their homes. They are thinking about how to keep their wives and children safe. Half a million Ukrainians have already come to Poland seeking refuge. My country is helping, the whole of Europe is helping, the whole world is helping. The sight of crying children or children who have completely withdrawn into themselves is terrifying. Ukraine needs and will need help. I know that each of you is helping in some way. But let’s do more – let’s unite and play for Ukraine. Please spread the word about events (https://www.fmjd.org/?p=ua) aimed at raising funds for Ukraine but also to show the draughts players of Ukraine that our hearts are with them.I hope that all continents will participate in the tournament that will take place on the 12th of March! It is not important how well you play, it is important for whom you play.
